Privacy

Short version: this tool was built to be useful without knowing anything about you. Here's exactly what that means in practice.

What stays on your device

When you use goodfight, your answers are held in your browser's local storage so the flow can pick up where you left off. That includes:

Which questions you've answered
Which answers you chose
A timestamp so we know when to clear it (we clear stored state after 7 days of no activity)

This data never leaves your device. We don't have a copy. If you clear your browser's data for goodfight.app, it's gone.

What's sent to a server

The only time anything leaves your device is if you use the “Send feedback” option in the menu. When you do, your message — and any name and email you choose to include — is sent to us as an email.

We use Resend to send that email. Resend sees the content of your message during delivery. It doesn't keep a copy beyond what's needed to send the email.

If you don't use the feedback option, we never receive anything.

Stripe processes your card details when you support the app. The app never sees them. No account is created.

What third parties touch your visit

Three services help goodfight run:

Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, Vercel sees your IP address when you connect. We don't store this; Vercel uses it only for delivering the site.
Plausible Analytics counts visits and tracks which steps of the flow people complete. Plausible is a privacy-first analytics tool: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal data, no IP storage. We use it to understand what's working in the flow.
Resend, only if you use the feedback form (see above).

That's it. No advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no fingerprinting, no anything else.

What we don't do

No accounts. No signup. No login.
No selling, sharing, or licensing data to anyone.
No emails to you. We don't have your email unless you give it to us through the feedback form, and even then, we only reply if you ask a question.
No tracking that follows you around the internet.
No syncing across devices. If you start a flow on your phone and pick up your laptop, you're starting fresh.

Your rights

Wherever you live, these are true:

You can stop using goodfight at any time. Closing the tab is enough.
You can clear all stored data by clearing your browser's site data for goodfight.app, or by tapping “Start over” in the menu.
You can ask what we have about you. The honest answer is almost always “nothing” — but if you've sent feedback and want a copy or deletion, the feedback option in the menu reaches us.
You can complain to your local privacy regulator if you think we've handled your data badly. We don't expect this to come up.

About users under 16

goodfight isn't designed for people under 16. If you're younger than that and using this, please talk to a trusted adult about what's going on instead. The “Is this for me?” link at the bottom of every screen has resources that may help.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the tool handles data, we'll update this page. The shape is unlikely to change — the no-accounts, nothing-saved posture is the whole point of goodfight.
